O.J. Simpson Mom: Eunice Simpson

Fully named Eunice (née Durden) Simpson, O.J. Simpson’s mother was born on October 23, 1921, in Louisiana, The United States.

She was a nurse at San Francisco General Hospital. She was married to Jimmy Lee Simpson.

O.J. Simpson’s father, Jimmy, is quite mysterious. According to the sources, he used to work as a janitor in a bank. When O.J. turned four, his father left him and his family without explaining why.

Being a single mother to raise O.J., soon, he got the nickname “Mama’s Boy.” Both his mother and O.J. struggled while growing up. Having no father figure, O.J. mentioned that he felt lost during his teenage days.

According to O.J., he once visited his father’s house after he left. His father opened the door in a bathrobe while he had another man in the background.

That was when O.J. figured out that his father was gay. However, they never discussed it, even once. Mr. Jimmy took his last breath on June 9, 1986.

“Although O.J. came from a broken home, his mother and I didn’t change the other things. That is very important — we didn’t change things. Both his mother and I came from very religious homes and are religious ourselves.”
– Eunice Simpson’s husband, Jimmy Lee Simpson

According to the sources, Jimmy died of AIDS, but they had reported it as a ‘cancer.’

After his death, some sources reported that Jimmy was a chef and custodian at Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco. Many reported that they had also seen Jimmy as a “drag queen.”
